THE PICTURE ABOVE WAS TAKEN 12-OCT-2011. IT IS QUITE A LARGE DIFFERANCE, FROM THE ONE BELOW. TAKEN WHEN HIS SHOULDERS WERE VERY UNLEVEL, NOT LIKE NOW!
THIS PICTURE, OF AN X-RAY DATED 29-MAY-2008. THE DIFFERENCE IS SHOWING MY RESULTS. I HAVE PROVEN IDIOPATHIC SCOLIOSIS IS NOT A DISEASE, AS THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY IS CURRENTLY TREATING IT. REMOVING THE ANGLE AND VERY MUCH INCREASING THE TENSION.

Idiopathic Scoliosis – How I Relieved the Tension
First, I am in no way giving any medical advice. I am just telling of my findings, on the cause of Idiopathic Scoliosis. And of the wonderful results, I was able to achieve. With halting and reversing the progression of my son's case of Idiopathic Scoliosis. I am not a doctor, and am in no way telling you to not listen to your doctor. I am just explaining the good results I had, to give you something to discuss with your doctor. In the following editorial, I question a lot of things about the current treatment of Idiopathic Scoliosis. The improvement I was able to accomplish in my son, after a year of doctor prescribed treatment, where his angle increased by over 11% gives me that right. The pictures above show I Very Much know what I am talking about.
When stretching the leg/hamstring muscle, you should not feel overstretching pain. You should be feeling stern stretching.
Doctors are leading us to believe Idiopathic Scoliosis is not preventable, which I have proved is completely wrong. They are saying it does not have a cause, because they do not understand it is pressure caused by a tight tendon. Which is connected to the low shoulder, it somehow runs from the low shoulder to the opposite leg. Left shoulder low connected to right foot. Right shoulder low connected to left foot. Sometimes it is the same shoulders, but the same test still works. If I would have known, what I now know. When my son was 13, I would have watched for the tension and completely halted any progression of his case of Idiopathic Scoliosis well before Matt’s back had any excessive curvature. I still cannot believe Idiopathic Scoliosis has been affecting our children, for several hundreds of years. And doctors are still treating it so incorrectly; does no one understand the real cause? I am writing this to get surgery, for Idiopathic Scoliosis halted. I cannot believe what doctors are missing, in the current treatment of Idiopathic Scoliosis. That they do not understand the immense pressure, pulling the back crooked. The current correction procedure has to magnify the already present tension. The reason for the poor results received, with the correction attempts. The only partial correction. And the large loss of correction, after corrective surgery is performed. I feel it is my duty to the currently more than 80 recipients of spinal fusion daily, in the US for the correction of Idiopathic Scoliosis. My son was diagnosed with a 60-degree curve. I listened to the doctors, had Matt fitted in a brace. And I paid over $300 a month in co pays, to have therapy done 3 times a week. After about a year, the curve increased to 67 degrees. Which is over an 11% increase, while prescribed therapy was being performed. That is when I stopped the doctor prescribed treatment and started gently stretching him myself. It is so easy, to prove my theory correct. The tight tendon is so obvious.
Draw a line from the low shoulder, to the center of the opposite leg. I feel, that is the path that the tight tendon is taking. Test anyone with Idopathic Scoliosis, by laying him or her on the ground face up. Hold the leg on the side of the low shoulder firmly against the ground, and then try to elevate the other leg to a 90-degree angle. With a person suffering from Idiopathic Scoliosis, the leg WILL NOT DO THAT. Sometimes it is the same leg as the low shoulder, but the same "Hidden Tension".
After a year of supposably helpful, but expensive therapy. I realized, as in the above described stretch. There was a very tight tendon, pulling the back crooked. I feel I have discovered the cause of Idiopathic Scoliosis, and probably most of the back pain that is surgically corrected. Idiopathic just means doctors have not figured out the cause. To think I had scheduled my son to have spinal fusion surgery performed, really bothers me. Please do not let any fusion be done on your child, without investigating what I know was the cause of my son’s trouble. When I started stretching my son. Matt stood and walked better, almost immediately. The stretch/test I propose needs to be done at all wellness physicals.
At our final visit to the doctor, that was to perform surgery on my son. I was informed Matt’s back was worse, even though Matt stood and walked very much better. But Matt’s scheduled surgery was only 2 1/2 months off. A year later, I had an x-ray taken and a Cobb Angle measured. The x-ray technician informed me, the curve intensity was between 50-55%. 53.6 is 20% less than 67, 50.25 is 25% less. The curve has been reduced by over 20%, without surgery. Just by doing one stretch. As I previously stated, I wish I knew that. When Matt was 13. I could have watched for the tight tendon. And stretched the connecting hamstring muscle, before any angle was caused. Now Matt walks and stands very well, his shoulders are level. I almost did not pursue this method. It was too stupidly simple. To be missed by so many doctors, the cure is as simple as I have found. Socrates spoke of the curve, but not of a cure. The current treatment of Idiopathic Scoliosis will probably be seen as the greatest mistake of modern medicine.
It was really tearing me up, to see my son stand and walk very crocked. I realized, as in the above described stretch. There was a very tight tendon, pulling the back crocked. That kind of distortion, had to have a definite cause. I feel I have discovered the cause of Idiopathic Scoliosis, and probably a lot of back pain. Idiopathic just means doctors have not figured out the cause. When I started stretching my son. Matt stood and walked better, almost immediately.
I cannot believe the cause of Idiopathic Scoliosis is a simple tight tendon. And doctors are performing a very costly procedure that permanently damages the back. And has to magnify the already present "Hidden Tension". Also limiting the flexibility.
The difference is SURE PROOF. Again, I can only make the information available. I can give no one the intelligence to use it.
